The year has been busy. It’s been fun, crazy and full.
It’s been a world full of little boys and little boy things. It’s been baseball and soccer, capes and toy guns, video games and baseball cards, Legos and books.
It’s been healthy and sick, hospital admissions and doctor’s offices. It’s been tests and blood draws, tears and smiles, diagnoses and healing.
It’s been a year of homecoming. It’s been finding who we are- as a family, in our individual spirituality, in education, in careers and in family dynamics.
It’s been a year of recovery and growth. It’s been therapies and counseling. It’s been new clothes and bigger shoes. It’s been reaching milestones in more ways than can be listed.
It’s been a year of friends. New friends, old friends, best friends, and more. It’s been memories that have been made in friendships that will last a lifetime. It’s been friendships from school, from work, from out of nowhere and friendships rekindled that had been let go.
It’s been complicated. It’s been fun, happy, sad, overwhelming and peaceful.
It’s been travel. It’s been car rides and airplanes, short distances and long. It’s been new places and familiar.
It’s been a year of beginnings. It’s been weddings, new school years, new teams, new discoveries in talents and abilities.
And, it’s now an ending. Goodbye 2013. May you rest in our hearts as a year of trials and growth, new and old.
